Summary: The mines are no-man's land when it comes to horror movies. Expect cave-ins, insanity, and unruly abominations lurking under the Earth's surface.
History: In Silver City, Colorado, a massive silver mine went from a blessing to a curse when people started dying due to cave-ins and unseen assailants. These killers were known as the Boogens, reptilian beasts stalking the mines for human flesh. Now the mines are reopening...
Notable Kills: One fakes death just enough to eat a man's face off...only to be killed off for real immediately afterwards.
Final Fate: Many Boogens are killed one by one, but all perish in an explosion set off by dynamite.
Powers/Abilities: None
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 2.5-The Boogens are pretty creative-looking, being tentacled murder-tortoises, but they're small, slow, and require ambush to be a threat. Then again, they are pretty violent when they get their tentacles on you...
Trivia: -The roar of the Boogens was conceived by the sound supervisor's son, who came up with cat-dog fighting noises slowed down and played backwards. To test it out, they played it in a hallway devoid of light. They admitted to never wanting to walk in that hallway ever again afterwards. In short, the experiment was a success.
-"Boogens" is derived from a slang word often used back in the day to describe anxiety in the mines.
